Dr Maria Eva Bodenstein is a vocationally qualified and experienced female General Practitioner, having completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Chemist (MBChB) from the University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg, South Africa, in 1992. She was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2009. In 2017 she completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the University of Sydney.
She completed her GP registrar attachments and training within the training program at the Homerton Hospital NHS trust followed by training in GP practice at Lower Clapton Group Practice, Lower Clapton Road, Hackney, London, UK. She moved to Australia in 2002 and continued her General Practice at Lakes Entrance Victoria in 2004.
She has special interests in Mental Health, Women’s health, Chronic Diseases, Aged Care, Palliative Care and Preventive Health.
Dr Bodenstein speaks German, Afrikaans and French in addition to English.
