Dr Mathew Pittappillil completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Mysore University, India in 1976 and has been working in Australia since 2000. He received his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2007.
Dr Pittappillil is a valued member of our team with over 45 years of experience in General Practice. He completed his medical degree and worked in multiple community health organisations and hospitals, including the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He loved working with families and being involved in their care over the long term, so he undertook further training to complete his specialisation in General Practice. He holds both the FCGP and FRACGP (Australia).
Over his many years of practice as a Family Physician, Dr Pittappillil has developed many areas of special interest within General Practice, such as Men’s Health, Children’s Health, including the management of allergies and Immunisation. In addition, he enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in partnership with his patients to treat their chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes and asthma, and mental health conditions requiring ongoing counselling.
Dr Pittappillil is a versatile doctor who speaks multiple languages such as English, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.
