Dr Catherine Adami

Dr Catherine Adami obtained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 1989.

She then worked in several different hospitals, including the Geelong Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital, The Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre and Monash Medical Centre. During her time at the Monash Medical Centre she worked in the obstetric and gynaecology units whilst studying for a Diploma in Obstetrics. The latter has allowed her to pursue her interest in women’s health, in particular, shared antenatal care, in the general practice setting.

Following this she entered the general practice training program based in Melbourne becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996. Several years were then spent working in eastern Indonesia in the areas of maternal and child health.

Dr Catherine Adami has been working at the Ivanhoe Medical Clinic since 2000. She has a special interest in maternal and child health and preventive health.
