Dr. Catherine Beasley

Dr Catherine Beasley

MCChb, DRANZCOG, FRACGP, MHPE

Dr Catherine graduated from the UK, completed General Practice training in Australia and has been working at Ivanhoe Medical Clinic since 2010. Prior to commencing at IMC, she worked in Broadmeadows for over a decade in community health.

Cath has completed a master’s degree in education so also works in GP training where she is
involved with running workshops and assessments for GP registrars. She is an examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners as well as previously for the AMC.

Cath enjoys the variety of all aspects of GP but has special interests in women’s health (including providing shared pregnancy care for obstetric patients), paediatrics and mental health.

Outside of work Cath enjoys walking her dog, cycling, skiing, reading and watching her children play sports from the safety of the sidelines.

Please be advised that this practice will change consultation fees from the 1st of November 2022. Ivanhoe Medical Clinic (IMC)  prides itself on high-quality, patient-centred care, and to continue to provide this quality care, a change in billing structure is required.

Dr Cath Beasley and all the other doctors at IMC will no longer offer routine bulk billing ( ie accepting your Medicare rebate as full payment for their professional services) to pension card holders from this date.

More details are available on the website or at the clinic.

This change is occurring in response to the lack of meaningful increase in Medicare rebates since 2013 and increasing costs associated with running a practice.

Dr Cath Beasley may choose to vary billing in the case of financial hardship.
