Dr Cindy Alatan

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Cindy Alatan completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the China University of Medicine. She then served in the Airforce General Hospital as a junior army doctor for five years before migrating to New Zealand. She completed the Medicine Bringing program via Otago University New Zealand.

In 2002 she commenced working as a junior, then a senior medical officer in Canterbury Health (including Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, Christchurch Women’s Hospital, and Hillmorton Hospital in Christchurch, New Zealand. She became a GP Registrar in 2006, completed a 3-year training program with The Royal New Zealand College of GP, and was awarded her Fellowship of The Royal New Zealand College of GP (FRNZCGP) in 2009. She was awarded a Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of GP (FRACGP) in 2010.

Dr Cindy then relocated to Melbourne in late 2011. She has since worked as a Vocational Registered General Practitioner at Epping Plaza Medical and Dental Clinic. As a female GP, she has special interests in women’s medicine, paediatrics, chronic medical conditions’ management, geriatric medicine, common dermatology, common musculoskeletal conditions, common mental health conditions, TAC and work cover etc.

In addition to English, she speaks fluent Mandarin
